New Delhi, Sep 20 (ANI): Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Thursday reacted over ordinance criminalising Triple Talaq. He said that ordinance criminalising triple talaq is one of the biggest social reforms and Muslim women were demanding it for a long time. The Minority Affairs Minister added that this reform will strengthen the constitutional right of Muslim women. “It’s a Big steps towards the elimination of malpractices,” added Naqvi. On September 19, the Union Cabinet approved an ordinance criminalising triple talaq.
