Latehar (Jharkhand), Sep 22 (ANI): In yet another case of violence, Naxals wreaked havoc in Latehar district of Jharkhand. Recently, Naxals thrashed a coal industry related contractor and his workers when he resisted their hooliganism and denied to pay them a levy. They also set ablaze the machinery and equipment that were being used in the development project. They threatened the workers with life if they continued to work without paying them their share.Fear has gripped the workers in the region. For years, Naxals have thrived on the capital and resources plundered from Adivasis. They depredate the poor and tribals they claim to be fighting for. Tribals, however, have understood the diabolic designs of these insurgents and have begun to resist their hooliganism. A series of government initiatives, launched to uplift the lifestyle of adivasis has further boosted their morale in fighting the wrong and joining the mainstream to lead a better life.
