Gumla (Jharkhand), Sept 1(ANI): Development work in the Gumla district of Jharkhand has always been affected due to the presence of Naxals. But over the years, their presence has sharply reduced owing to the strong policies of the government. Desperate to seek attention and create the same fear which they inflicted on people years ago, the few remaining Naxals recently targeted people working at a Bauxite mine. Miners were attacked and three trucks along with a JCB machine were then set on fire. Locals feel that Naxals, who are short of food and other basic supplies, would now create an atmosphere of terror so that they would forcefully take basic ration and food items from them. Over the years, the fear of Naxals has completely vanished from villages and that is why they have become desperate to re-establish their reign of terror.
