PM Modi arrives in India after concluding BIMSTEC summit in Nepal

New Delhi, Aug 31 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in New Delhi on Friday after attending the 4th BIMSTEC Summit that was held in Kathmandu, Nepal. The Prime Minister held a series of bilateral meetings with the leaders of all participating countries on the sidelines of the 4th BIMSTEC Summit. He handed over the hospice ‘Nepal-Bharat Pashupatinath Maitri Dharamshala’ built in the premise of the Pashupatinath Temple as aid to Nepal. The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) is a regional grouping comprising India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bhutan and Nepal. The grouping accounts for 22 per cent of the global population, and has a combined gross domestic product of USD 2.8 trillion.
