Talcher (Odisha), Sep 22 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that the Talcher Fertilizer Plant will produce enough urea using coal as feedstock to make the country self-sufficient. The Prime Minister said, “The project will use a new technology of coal gasification to produce urea which will make the country self-sufficient and it will free us of any dependence on export of urea from other countries.” “The project built with 13,000 crore rupees will involve 4,500 people which will generate employment too,” added PM Modi. He is in the city to attend an event in Talcher to mark the commencement of work in the Talcher Fertilizer Plant. PM Modi will also address a public meeting and will inaugurate the local airport in Jharsuguda.
