Tribals in Jharkhand vow to eliminate Naxalism

Jamshedpur (Jharkhand), Sep 29 (ANI): Once known for being the centre of Naxal’s inhumane activities, Lango village in Jharkhand’s Jamshedpur district is now seeing a new era of revolution. The tribals of this village, who for years were oppressed and mislead by Naxals, have now vowed to retaliate the cruelty and barbarity inflicted upon them. It’s when the heinous crimes committed by the Naxals increased in the region, the tribals united to form ‘Nagrik Suraksha Sangathan’ or NASUS to hit back at their hooliganism. In 2004, they killed nine Naxals following which these anti-establishment cadres were forced to step back, making the village free from their terror. Today, the tribals of the area celebrate this day as ‘Lango divas’ wherein they raise slogans against Naxals and call for their complete eradication. The tribals of Lango village, with their courage and determination, have given a tough fight to Naxals. It’s due these efforts made by tribals as well as government that the devious clout of Naxals is vanishing at a rapid pace and if this continues, then soon our country will get rid of this menace.
