Howrah (WB), Oct 23 (ANI): At least two people died and 14 injured in a stampede on Tuesday on a footbridge at Santragachi Junction railway station in West Bengal’s Howrah. The dreadful incident took place following a heavy rush of passengers. The incident occurred when three trains simultaneously arrived at the station and passengers rushed to the platforms to board the trains. State government has issued helpline numbers from Railways: 032221072 (Kharagpur), 03326295561(Santragachi) #WestBengal. The injured persons were immediately rushed to hospital for treatment.
