Srinagar (J&K), Oct 26 (ANI): Apple growers are getting a lot of benefits in Kashmir, with the help of subsidised infrastructure provided by the Department of Horticulture. Horticulture sector is one of the prominent sectors that play a vital role to generate the employment as well as to boost the economy of Jammu and Kashmir. Apples from Kashmir Valley are world famous and have a huge demand, but sometimes due to lack of machines and amenities and due to climate change, apple growers face problems of damaged crop. So to protect the crop, government is providing financial assistance to construct the packing houses and also provided machinery items including tractors, motor pumps, racks, and generators on subsidised rates.
