Former UP, Uttarakhand CM ND Tiwari passes away

New Delhi, Oct 18 (ANI): Former Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Narayan Dutt Tiwari passed away in Saket’s Max Hospital in New Delhi on Thursday. Tiwari was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Max Hospital following kidney infection and multiple organ failure. He was the only politician, who served as the Chief Minister of two states. Tiwari served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh thrice- from 1976-77, 1984-85, and then from 1988-89. He was also the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand from 2002 till 2007. Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma mourned the death of Tiwari and said, “The death of ND Tiwari is very painful for the people of both UP and Uttarakhand. This is a personal loss of him.”
