Srinagar (J&K), Oct 26 (ANI): The Indian Army on Friday paid tribute to its brave soldiers who lost their lives during separate operations and incidents in Tral and Anantnag on 25th October and in Sopore on 26th October 2018. The solemn ceremony was attended by all ranks officials, who paid homage to the slain soldiers. Lance Naik Brajesh Kumar, 32 years of age, sustained splinter injuries during a fierce operation in Malgunipura (Sopore) on 26 October 2018 during which two terrorists were also eliminated. Sepoy Ngamsiamliana attained martyrdom during a standoff attack on an Army Camp in Luragam village of Tral, Pulwama on 25 October 2018. Martyr Sepoy Rajendra Singh, 22 years of age, was a part of the Quick Reaction Team which was providing security (protection) to a Border Roads Organisation (BRO) convoy on 25 October 2018. The convoy was passing through the Anantnag bypass tri-junction near NH-44, few youth hurled stones at the vehicle and Sep Rajendra Singh was injured after being hit by a stone directly on the head. After the solemn ceremony the mortal remains of the slain soldiers were flown for last rites to their native places.
