Sukma (Chhattisgarh), Oct 13 (ANI): ‘Violence is no solution to the problem’. To spread this message across all the Naxal-infested areas, thousands of people from the tribal communities carried out a 10-day procession in which they traversed through the Naxal-hit regions of Chhattisgarh and Telangana, covering a total distance of 186 kilometres. The procession was a wake-up call for those people who have picked up guns under the influence of Naxalites and have now become enemies of their own people. Moreover, a rise in the number of terror activities by Naxals in the recent past was another reason behind organizing it, as these activities have not only removed peace from the lives of tribal people but have also forced them to live in constant fear. Tribals, who for decades have been suffering at the hands of Naxalites, just want peace and development in their region. However, Naxals are cognizant of the fact that the development will take a toll on their grip in the region and will push them on the back foot. Thus, by creating hindrances in the path of development and by keeping tribal people away from all the facilities, Naxalites, are just making efforts to retain their control over the region.
