Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Oct 01 (ANI): Students in Everwin Vidhyashram School in Tamil Nadu’s Chennai are conducting celebrations ahead of the Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary on October 2. As part of the celebrations, they dressed as the ‘Father of the Nation’. The students also performed yoga and painted their faces and bodies as Gandhi. The school will conduct nearly 150 events for the coming academic year. The school has conducted the celebrations to inculcate Gandhian thoughts in students and for the peace and prosperity of the children. Dressed as Gandhi, students were inspired by the great Indian leader who was in the forefront of Indian Independence. A student said, “Today we are celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Today we are going to do yoga and rally for peace and prosperity and to create awareness about the great Indian leader Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.”
