Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), Oct 17 (ANI): In an encounter in the Kashmir Valley on Wednesday, one police personnel lost his life. Three terrorists were also eliminated during the encounter with security forces in Fateh Kadal area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar. Briefing on the encounter, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Director General of Police, Dilbagh Singh said, “Operation was launched by J&K police and CRPF on specific information last night. The house was cordoned off and party was fired upon when it reached near the house. Our jawan Kamal Kishore lost his life.” He further informed, “Bodies of 3 terrorists recovered. 2 identified. One was Mehraj-ud-din Bangroo and another Faid Mushtaq Waza. Arms and ammunition recovered. Mehraj-ud-din Bangroo was wanted in several cases of killings, weapons snatching and other militancy related activities.”
