Swamy backs Mohan Bhagwat’s statement on Ram temple

New Delhi, Oct 02 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) veteran leader Subramanian Swamy on Wednesday backed Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement that ‘opposition can’t oppose Ram temple’. Swamy said, “Absolutely, that’s his (Mohan Bhagwat) opinion and that’s the opinion of vast majority of Hindus in the country. The congress and their lawyers tried to delay the proceeding by bringing this question: let’s have the review of judgments of 5 judges, 7 judges, and 9 judges. Now, fortunately the Supreme Court has dismissed that. Now there is nothing left. Masjid is not an essential part of Islam whereas Ram Mandir is a part of Pran Pratishtha Puja and therefore, Ram is the owner of the temple. God is the owner of the temple and that was demolished and proved by the archaeological survey of India on the direction from the SC. And there is a statement of affidavit of Narasimha Rao’s government that if it is shown that there is pre existing temple, we will hand over the land to Hindus. I think the Muslim community should force these Waqf board and others to say that now look for the other land and build a Masjid somewhere else because you can build a Masjid anywhere but this has to go to Ram and same thing with Krishna Mathura and Kashi Vishwanath.”
