New Delhi, Oct 02 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Tuesday visited Mahatma Gandhi International Sanitation Convention at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The event was organised by the Drinking Water and Sanitation Ministry to mark the beginning of the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi. The event was also attended by various leaders and politicians. Mahatma Gandhi, born on Oct 2, 1869, remains one of the prominent faces of India’s struggle for freedom He fought against caste system & was instrumental in abolishing practice of untouchability. He also preached non-violence & spoke about its significance.
