Delhi’s air quality improves after light rainfall

New Delhi, Nov 15 (ANI): The national capital, routinely suffering from the toxic air caused by coal burning and vehicular exhaust, witnessed improvement in air quality on Thursday. This comes after light rainfall in Delhi-NCR region. The official data maintained by the Centre-run System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR) put the condition at ‘poor’ category from ‘very poor’. On Air Quality Index (AQI), particulate matter (PM) 10 level at 202 and PM 2.5 level at 209, in ‘poor’ category was recorded at Lodhi Road today. An AQI between 0-50 is considered good, 51-100 is satisfactory, 101-200 moderate, 201-300 poor, 301-400 very poor and 401-500 is marked as severe/hazardous.
