Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Nov 01 (ANI): Food Safety Department officials conducted a surprise inspection at sweet-making units and sweet shops in Coimbatore. This was done as a food security measure ahead of the Diwali celebrations. Officials checked the quality of ghee and khoya during the inspection. The employees were also questioned about hygiene. Diwali season experiences a surge in sale of sweets across the nation which calls for greater quality checks over the food being consumed.
