ISRO launches GSLV-MK-III D2 carrying GSAT-29 satellite

Sriharikota (Andhra Pradesh), Nov 14 (ANI): Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) rocket Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV-Mk-III) carrying GSAT – 29 Satellite was launched on Wednesday. The heavy-lift rocket will put communication satellite GSAT-29 into orbit. The rocket was launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. GSAT-29 weighing over 3 ton will be lifted to Geo Stationary Orbit (GSO) at the height of 36,000 Km above earth. The satellite with life span of 10 years intends to meet communication requirements of India including remote areas.
