Panaji (Goa), Nov 06 (ANI): Naraka Chaturdashi was celebrated across Panaji, amid much fanfare. Effigies of Narakasura burnt on the occasion. The festival is celebrated on the fourteenth day of the Krishna Paksha in the month of Kartik, as per the Hindu calendar. Hindus worship the God of death, Yamraj on this auspicious day. The festival also marks the defeat of demon Narakasura by Goddess Kali and Lord Krishna.
