Surat (Gujarat), Nov 02 (ANI): Jitendra Singh, a security guard by profession, sends postcards every year to the families of soldiers who lose their lives in action, during war or fighting terrorists. He is doing this since last 20 years. He also collects soil from martryrs’ houses to make ‘Shaheed Smarak”. He has a database of 38,000 martyrs. Jitendra’s family members are serving in the Army since World War 2 era. “During Kargil War soldiers had written letters to their homes and by the time the letter reached their home, they had died in action. I was inspired to write letter since then”, said Jitendra.
