Mathura (Uttar Pradesh), Nov 05 (ANI): The Widows of Vrindavan gathered at the historic Gopinath temple on Sunday and celebrated an eco-friendly Diwali to fight against rising air pollution. Widows, some of them in their 90s, celebrated ‘Green Diwali’ by singing hymns and lighting earthen lamps. The event was organised by a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) Sulabh International which takes care of more than 900 widows living in different parts of Vrindavan. The celebrations were aimed at bringing ray of happiness in their twilight years.
