Palolem (Goa), Dec 21 (ANI): A 48-year-old British woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by an unknown person yesterday near Goa’s Palolem beach. Her three small bags containing Rs 20,000 cash, passport and personal belongings were also robbed by the unknown person. The case was registered at Canacona police station and accused was taken into custody. As per the information, British lady was assaulted by one unknown person along roadside at about 4:30 pm while she was returning from Canacona Railway station to her room. Later, all her three bags and personal belongings except cash was found abandoned about 50 meters away from the similar spot. On the basis of full description of the case and CCTV footage accused was taken into custody near Madgao Railway station.
