Amit Shah lambasts Mamata Banerjee for denying permission for rath yatra

New Delhi, Dec 07 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Friday lambasted Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over permission denied for taking out rath yatra in West Bengal. He said that the CM is scared of BJP for bringing complete change through their rallies. He said, “A democratic process has been suppressed in West Bengal, with the misuse of power. The CM is following this trend. This is non-democratic. Mamata Banerjee is scared that if BJP takes out all these three rallies in the state of West Bengal and assemble in Kolkata then the foundation of a complete change will be laid down. So she attempted to stop all these yatras.” BJP had organised three rallies in West Bengal for campaigning for Lok Sabha elections and to expand the organisation in the state. These rallies were to start on December 7, 9 and 14. We had started asking permissions from October 29. Several reminders were sent in November after being denied permissions.
