Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Dec 23 (ANI): Basket weavers in Coimbatore are busy as the market for bamboo cribs takes pace ahead of Christmas. The weavers start making cribs few months to meet the demand. An average crib costs Rs 200 to 1,000, depending on the size. Christmas crib is one of the major attractions of the festival season. The concept behind the Christmas crib is simplicity and purity. The cribs are used to place infant Jesus on the hay and straw put inside the crib. The cribs are designed from one foot to 15 feet long.
