New Delhi, Dec 17 (ANI): Congress leader Shashi Tharoor on Monday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government is “violating equality clauses” by introducing Triple Talaq Bill. Shashi Tharoor said, “You’re criminalising a civil offence, violating equality clauses and doing it on basis of religion. If there is discrimination against women, you should’ve passed it for all women. SC declared triple talaq illegal. So it isn’t needed, it’s political game.” The Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2018 or the Triple Talaq Bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha by Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad amid protests on Monday.
