Sambahl (Uttar Pradesh), Dec 26: In a shocking incident, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Mohammad Miyan mercilessly beat up a specially-abled man on December 24 and called him ‘Chamar’. The BJP continued to beat him after he raised slogans for not voting in favour of the party. A video surfaced in this regard in which the BJP leader is shown inserting a stick in the victim’s mouth. After the incident, victim Manoj said, “I went to Sambhal to sell my products and Mohammad Miyan called me ‘Chamar’. I also shouted slogans for not supporting PM Modi after which Miyan beat me. He then again beat me mercilessly for half an hour and made video of the incident. I was even sent to jail”. Taking cognisance of the incident, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sudesh Kumar said, “Complaint has been filed by the victim. We are investigating the matter. Cases have been filed under SC/ST Act and for beating.”
