Bulandshahr violence: Accused in police inspector’s death, sent to 14-days judicial custody

Bulandshahr (UP), Dec 09 (ANI): Armyman Jitendra Malik alias Jeetu Fauji, who has been accused of allegedly killing Uttar Pradesh police inspector Subodh Kumar Singh, has been sent to 14-days judicial custody on Sunday. The police inspector was murdered during the Bulandshahr violence on December 3. He was detained by his unit, 22 Rashtriya Rifles, in Jammu and Kashmir’s Sopore on December 8th and handed over to Uttar Pradesh police. Police inspector Subodh Kumar and civilian Sumit Kumar were killed in the violence that broke out on November 2nd after cow carcasses were found strewn in the jungle. The demonstrators loaded the carcasses on tractor trolleys and took out a protest on a busy road, leading to a huge traffic jam.
