New Delhi, Dec 05 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Wednesday alleged that according to his sources, Bulandshahr clashes broke out after the news of cow slaughter taking place during a Tablighi Jamaat conference surfaced. The Bulandshahr violence claimed two lives and left several others injured. Swamy, speaking on the topic said, “Death of a policeman has taken place and investigation should be done. I am concerned about the one sided reporting in this case. As far as I have gotten to know through credible sources, a Tablighi Jamaat conference was taking place and several cows were being slaughtered. This news spread and the policeman went to investigate the matter. This is what I have heard. The news spread and people got instigated. Even if you throw a piece of pig meat in a masjid, they will also get instigated.” He further added, “People should abstain from doing things that would instigate the public.” Tablighi Jamaat is a non-political global Sunni Islamic missionary movement which focuses on urging Muslims to return to primary Sunni Islam, and particularly in matters of ritual, dress, and personal behavior.
