Controversy ridden Sterlite Copper to undertake social benefit measures in Thoothukudi

Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Dec 20 (ANI): The CEO of the controversy ridden Thoothukudi plant of Sterlite Copper, P Ramnath informed about the social measures the company has planned to undertake to iron over the creases caused by the protests in the past. P Ramnath said, “After discussions with stakeholders, we have looked at 5 major projects that we have announced. We’ll set up a school and a hospital. We also plan to increase the greenery in the entire town of Tuticorin and water supply to the nearby villages.”
