Guwahati (Assam), Dec 18 (ANI): After Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal, cyclone ‘Phethai’ triggered heavy rainfall accompanied by winds in Guwahati and North East today. Light to heavy drizzle washed the city streets on Tuesday since morning. Phethai, that lay centered 480 km south-southeast of Machilipatnam and 510 km from Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh, intensified into a severe cyclonic storm and crossed the Bay of Bengal coast around Kakinada on Monday afternoon.
