Expected PM Modi to reach out to J&K people when they needed him the most: Mehbooba Mufti

Mumbai, Dec 14 (ANI): Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Friday clarified that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had failed in reaching out people, when he visited the state as he only talked about governance. While talking at the ‘Kashmir- a way forward’ programme in Mumbai, Mufti said, “Just to restart what Vajpayeeji left halfway we joined hands with BJP. We knew it was a suicide, we put everything at stake. We thought Modiji had a huge mandate and he will rise to the occasion like Vajpayeeji. We thought he will be able to reach out to Pakistan and people of Jammu and Kashmir. But unfortunately, he talked about roads, electricity but when news about killings of youth comes then all this is not seen.”
