If anybody is going to monitor computers then it is ‘Orwellian’ state: P Chidambaram

Bengaluru (Karnataka), Dec 21 (ANI): After the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued an order authorising ten central agencies to intercept, monitor, and decrypt any information generated, transmitted, received or stored in any computer, Congress leader P Chidambaram said, “I have not yet studied the matter, but if anybody is going to monitor computers then it is an Orwellian state (a condition that George Orwell identified as destructive for a free society).”
