Infiltration bid by Pakistani Border Action Team ‘successfully thwarted’: J&K DIG

Jammu, Dec 31 (ANI): Speaking on Indian Army foiling an infiltration bid by Pakistani Border Action Team (BAT) across the LoC, J&K DIG Dilbagh Singh today said, “Such incidents have taken place in past also. Our troops deployed on the border are competent enough, this attempt was successfully thwarted.” Singh was addressing the media in Jammu when he made the remarks. The J&K DIG while reflecting on 2018, and how the security forces dealt with tensions in the Kashmir Valley, said the current year was relatively safer than previous year, for both police and civilians. Singh added that the Amarnath Yatra, which invites heavy security arrangements every year, also went successful.
