J&K Workers Welfare Board supports labourers by providing financial aid in Kathua

Kathua (Jammu and Kashmir), Dec 28 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board becomes ray of hope for poor labourers. The Labour Board is supporting the needs of student labourers by providing financial aids to disease-affected labour families. Generally the labourers do not have enough money to spend on education of their children and if a labourer suffers from any chronic disease then usually they have no source of income in such hard days. Welfare Board has always stood up to help the labourer families in various ways in order to meet their higher expenses. As many as 9560 labourers of Kathua district are so far registered with J&K welfare Board with minimum charges of Rs 10. The board is supporting the financial aid to registered labourers under various development schemes. So far the board has released Rs 2 crores 87 lakh and 22 thousands in favour of beneficiaries and Rs 4 lakh in favour of chronic disease-affected labourers. Labourers are also getting frequent financial aid under the schemes launched by J&K government Labour department.
