Ludhiana Police inducts special E-bikes for patrolling

Ludhiana (Punjab) Dec 19 (ANI): To promote healthy environment and saving petrol expenditure, Ludhiana police has inducted E-bikes for patrolling the city. E-bikes named ‘Lectro Ezephyr’ have been adopted in collaboration with Hero Cycles. While talking to ANI, Ludhiana Police Commissioner Dr. Sukhchain Singh Gill said, “These E-bikes can cover around 30 kilometers after charging and this is enough for patrolling in our city speed limit of E-bikes has been restricted to 25 kilometers/hr, according to our city It is very useful for police”. These E-bikes are very easy for patrolling in the crowded area and can reduce traffic. The price of this bike is Rs. 26,999/. It costs half in comparison to usual patrolling motorcycles.
