Nagpur Orange growers struggle to get right price this year

Nagpur (Maharashtra), Dec 27 (ANI): Orange growers in Maharashtra’s Nagpur city struggled to get right price for their crops. Farmers said that in comparison to last year’s rate, this year the price has dipped low. “Last year, the rates were around Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 per tonne, this year it is around Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000,” said a farmer who had come to sell his crops at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Market Yard Dharm Kata. Farmers said that due to bad weather conditions, the crops yielded were not up to the mark.
