Mumbai, Dec 03 (ANI): A protest was held by animal lovers in Mumbai against the killing of tigress Avni. Posters of Maharashtra Forest Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, hunter Shahfat Ali and his son Asghar Ali were put up with slogans like, ‘arrest Asghar Ali’, ‘Don’t sell forest, don’t kill tigers’ and the slogans also asked for Mungantiwar’s resignation. One of the protestors was disguised as a tigress and burned the posters in protest. Meanwhile Maharashtra Forest Committee has formed an enquiry committee to look into the killing of the tigress. On November 2 tigress Avni, who was believed to have killed 13 persons, was gunned down by sharp-shooter Asghar Ali.
