Pamba (Kerala), Dec 23 (ANI): Tensions escalated in Sabarimala after angry protesters allegedly charged at the cops and a group of women gathered at Sabarimala on Sunday morning, following which the cops had to shift the women to Pamba base camp. Later, police at Pamba detained Lord Ayyappa devotees who were protesting against the entry of women devotees to Sabarimala Temple. Selvi (Member of the women’s devotees group who’s currently at Pamba base camp to trek to Sabarimala Temple) said, “We are here since 3.30 am. Police had said that they will provide us with protection but now they are not providing us protection to trek to the temple.”
