New Delhi, Dec 27 (ANI): The Lok Sabha passed Triple Talaq Bill amid walkout by Congress and few other Opposition parties today. The bill proposes to make Triple Talaq an offence under Indian Penal Code awarding three-year jail term to erring husband. The bill legislation will replace an ordinance issued by the Government in September. The bill was taken up in the Parliament after a five-judge bench of Supreme Court termed instant divorce by uttering ‘Talaq’ three times unconstitutional.
