1984 anti-Sikh riots: PM Modi attacks Congress over Kamal Nath’s induction as MP CM

Gurdaspur (Punjab), Jan 03 (ANI): Addressing a public gathering in Punjab’s Gurdaspur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the Congress by saying, “Countrymen, especially in Punjab, should stay alert of those people whose history is of killing thousands of Sikh brothers and sisters, and even today is of gifting chief minister post to people who are even today accused of rioting.” Prime Minister’s jibe was at Kamal Nath who was chosen as Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister despite the latter’s suspected role in 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
