Country will run by Constitution, not by Rahul Gandhi’s dictation: BJP on CBI row

New Delhi, Jan 11 (ANI): Criticising Congress party for its stand on the CBI row, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today said the country will not run on Rahul Gandhi’s orders. “In every case that we have been discussing recently, we have seen as to how Mr. Rahul Gandhi always wants his dictation to in fact interfere everywhere. Astonishingly for them, the CVC report, the Supreme Court and High-powered Committee is not important,” said BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra. “By removing #AlokVerma from his position without giving him the chance to present his case, PM Modi has shown once again that he’s too afraid of an investigation, either by an independent CBI director or by Parliament via JPC,” the Congress party tweeted after Verma’s removal. On Thursday, the Selection Committee comprising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Justice A.K. Sikri and opposition leader Mallikarjun Kharge, had removed CBI Chief Alok Verma, who was reinstated on Wednesday by the Supreme Court with limited powers.
