Despite winter, fresh vegetables available in Kashmir markets due to govt schemes

Srinagar (J&K), Jan 31 (ANI): Despite winters in
Kashmir, fresh vegetables can be seen in markets due
to various government schemes. The government in
Kashmir has taken an initiative to provide poly houses
at subsidised rates to farmers to help them grow
vegetables in winter season. Poly house farming is an
agricultural technique in which cultivation of
vegetables is done in a controlled atmosphere, under
ultraviolet film roofing and nets to keep pests out.
The initiative has benefited farmers and has helped
them to increase and prepare vegetable saplings.
