Poonch (J&K) Jan 12 (ANI): A disaster management awareness programme is being held in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch. The 5-day long awareness programme was conducted by the Civil Defence team of Poonch. J&K State Disaster Management Authority also participated in the event. Jammu and Kashmir is the region which is prone to disaster and such disaster management awareness programmes are helpful during natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods for better preparedness. All stakeholders were trained on what sort of communication is required during an emergency and what should be the procedure to follow in the event of crisis.
