Former Gujarat CM Shankersinh Vaghela joins NCP

Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Jan 29 (ANI): Former Gujarat chief minister Shankersinh Vaghela joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in presence of party chief Sharad Pawar. Upon joining the party, Vaghela revealed the reason behind joining the party. “I am seeing UPA-3 type anti-BJP government in the nation. Whatever our role in that demand, we will fulfill that. So I thought to save to the democracy, to save the nation from BJP rule,” he said. However, it is to be noted that he has also been a part of Bharatiya Janata Party in the past which he later left due to differences with the party.
