Girl expelled from school after she protested against molestation

Kushinagar (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 05 (ANI): A girl was allegedly expelled from a school in Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar after protesting against alleged molestation. The girl, who studies in class XI at Mahatma Gandhi Inter College in Kushinagar, complained of molestation to the school administration. But the school administration dismissed her complaint saying the incident happened outside the campus and does not fall under their jurisdiction. When the girl protested over their inaction, the school administration decided to expel her. The headmaster at the school said, “Today we stated at the prayer hall that these type of girls are not needed in our school who spoil the image of our institution.” Police have registered an FIR and investigation is underway.
