Rifleman Jiwan Gurung’s mortal remains will reach at his native place in Darjeeling

Darjeeling (West Bengal), Jan 13 (ANI): Mortal remains of slain soldier Rifleman Jiwan Gurung, who lost his life in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast on Friday, will reach at his native place in West Bengal’s Darjeeling. He hails from Lamahatta village in Darjeeling. He was killed in IED blast in J&K’s Nowshera on Friday. An improvised explosive device was planted by suspected militants in the foot-track along the Line of Control (LoC) to target Army soldiers patrolling the borderline in Laam belt of Nowshera sector of Rajouri district. The blast resulted in injuries to two soldiers, including Rifleman Jiwan Gurung. He is survived by his mother Poonam Gurung.
