Ruckus hits Nepal’s Parliament

Kathmandu (Nepal), Jan 23 (ANI): A ruckus erupted in Nepal’s Lower House of parliament on Tuesday as opposition MPs from the Nepali Congress came protesting over the bills which were to be presented. The opposition Nepali Congress has been protesting in parliament over government’s decision to dismiss two hospitals bearing the name of the former Prime Ministers Girija Prasad Koirala and Sushil Koirala, also the leaders of Nepali Congress. The Government of Nepal is making the attempt to file the Medical Education Bill despite the objection of the opposition Nepali Congress. The first round of meeting was forced to be cancelled after the ruckus erupted in the parliament without entering the schedule. House Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara had called for a second meeting and invited Education Minister Giriraj Mani Pokharel to table the Medical Education Bill which resulted in further chaos in the lower house.
