Sad that even after promising MSP to paddy farmers, BJP did nothing: Naveen Patnaik

New Delhi, Jan 08 (ANI): Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of going back on its promise to provide Minimum Support Price (MSP) to paddy farmers. The CM also headed the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) delegation which met with President Ram Nath Kovind to give memorandum in this regard. After meeting with the President, Patnaik said, “BJP in its manifesto in 2014 promised to give MSP to paddy farmers. Sadly, they have done nothing. We had repeatedly reminded them through letter and telephone to do something for the suffering farmers. Today, we held a public meeting at Talkatora Stadium objecting this and now handed over a memorandum to the President.”
