Sudhir Bhargava takes oath as new Chief Information Officer

New Delhi, Jan 01 (ANI): President Ram Nath Kovind administered the oath of office to Sudhir Bhargava as the Chief Information Commissioner. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley were also present. Bhargava has served as an Information Commissioner in the CIC. Bhargava succeeded R K Mathur who retired in November this year. Joining Bhargava are four Information Officers (ICs) including former IFS officer Yashwardhan Kumar Sinha, ex-IRS officer Vanaja N Sarna, former IAS Neeraj Kumar Gupta, and former law secretary Suresh Chandra.
