Panchkula (Chandigarh), Jan 11 (ANI): As jailed Gurmeet Ram Rahim was convicted today in the murder case of a journalist, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) lawyer Harinder Pal Singh revealed the agency’s efforts behind nailing the self-proclaimed godman in the 2002 murder case of journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati. “Today’s verdict is a successful effort of CBI. Investigating officer Satish Dagar comes first in the people who contributed immensely in the case,” Pal said while addressing the media outside the special court in Haryana’s Panchkula. The quantum of punishment will be announced on Jan 17 because formalities by the state government would also take time.
